กรมส่งเสริมการค้าระหว่างประเทศ (DITP) และ สถาบันวิจัยและพัฒนาอัญมณีและเครื่องประดับแห่งชาติ (GIT) เปิดตัวนิทรรศการ The Magnificent 40-Year Journey of Brilliance นิทรรศการระดับไอคอนครั้งแรกในประเทศไทย กับการจัดแสดงผลงานเครื่องประดับสุดอลังการ ที่คัดสรรโดยบุคคลสำคัญในแวดวงอัญมณีและเครื่องประดับไทย เพื่อฉลองครบรอบ 40 ปีของงานบางกอกเจมส์ และตอกย้ำความยิ่งใหญ่ของประเทศไทยในฐานะศูนย์กลางการผลิตและการค้าอัญมณีระดับโลก
นิทรรศการ The Magnificent 40-Year Journey of Brilliance บอกเล่าเรื่องราวประวัติศาสตร์ของอุตสาหกรรมอัญมณีและเครื่องประดับไทยผ่านการจัดแสดงภายใต้ 5 ธีมหลัก ได้แก่
- Golden Legacies นำเสนอเรื่องราวของเครื่องประดับทองและประวัติศาสตร์อันเก่าแก่ของเครื่องทองไทย
- Silver Adornment โซนเครื่องประดับเงิน บอกเล่าความเป็นมาของอุตสาหกรรมเครื่องเงินไทย
- Creative Solitaire จัดแสดงเครื่องประดับร่วมสมัยที่ผสมผสานนวัตกรรมและงานศิลปะเข้าไว้ด้วยกัน
- Haute Joaillerie รวมเครื่องประดับชั้นสูงสุดตระการตาที่สร้างสรรค์อย่างประณีตจากแบรนด์ชั้นนำทั้งไทยและต่างประเทศ
- Gems Alchemist บอกเล่าตำนานพลอยสีไทย ผ่านเครื่องประดับที่โดดเด่นด้วยอัญมณีเลอค่าอย่างทับทิมและแซฟไฟร์
ภายในนิทรรศการจัดแสดงเครื่องประดับล้ำค่ากว่า 40 ชิ้นที่คัดสรรโดยภัณฑารักษ์รับเชิญ ซึ่งเป็นตัวแทนของบุคคลสำคัญในแวดวงอัญมณีและเครื่องประดับไทย ได้แก่ รอล์ฟ วอน บูเรน (Rolf von Bueren), สุริยน ศรีอรทัยกุล, อตินุช ตันติวิท, ชาญณรงค์ บำราพรักษ์, จูเลียนา โลกลิชี (Guiliana Loglisci), ภิรดา เสนีย์วงศ์ ณ อยุธยา, ศรัณญ อยู่คงดี, สิรพัฐ พิพัฒน์วีรวัฒน์ และสิทธิชัย ปริญญานุสรณ์

DIT and GIT Showcase Iconic Jewelry in “The Magnificent 40-Year Journey of Brilliance” Exhibition Celebrates 40 Years of Bangkok Gems
The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) and the Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (GIT) have launched the exhibition “The Magnificent 40-Year Journey of Brilliance”. This is the first iconic-level exhibition in Thailand, showcasing exquisite jewelry pieces curated by prominent figures in the Thai gem and jewelry industry. This event celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Bangkok Gems event and emphasizes Thailand’s significance as a global hub for gem production and trading.
The exhibition “The Magnificent 40-Year Journey of Brilliance” narrates the history of the Thai gem and jewelry industry through displays categorized under 5 main themes:
- Golden Legacies: Presents the history and age-old tradition of Thai gold jewelry.
- Silver Adornment: Focuses on the journey of the Thai silver jewelry industry.
- Creative Solitaire: Displays contemporary jewelry that combines innovation with art.
- Haute Joaillerie: Features high jewelry, creations from leading brands both from Thailand and abroad.
- Gems Alchemist: Narrates the legends of Thai colored gems, highlighting valuable gemstones such as rubies and sapphires.
Within the exhibition, more than 40 exquisite jewelry pieces are displayed, curated by invited Guest Curators who are a prominent figures in the gem and jewelry industry, including Rolf Von Bueren, Atinuj Tantivit, Giuliana Loglisci, Suriyon Sriorathaikul, Channarong Bumrapraksa, Pirada Senivongse Na Ayudhya, Sarran Youkongdee, Sirapat Pipatveeravat, and Sitthichai Parinyanusorn.
Those interested can visit the exhibition from September 6-10 at the 68th Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
