ธนาคารกรุงไทย พร้อมซื้อขาย DR “TENCENT80” วันแรก 26 เมษายนนี้ ลงทุนขั้นต่ำเพียง 1 DR เทรดด้วยสกุลเงินบาท ตัดปัญหาแลกเปลี่ยนเงินตราต่างประเทศ เพิ่มทางเลือกนักลงทุนไทยลงทุนหุ้นเทคโนโลยีระดับโลก ไม่ใช่เรื่องไกลตัวอีกต่อไป
นายรวินทร์ บุญญานุสาสน์ รองกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ สายงานธุรกิจตลาดเงินตลาดทุน ธนาคารกรุงไทย เปิดเผยว่า กรุงไทยในฐานะธนาคารชั้นนำของไทย มุ่งมั่นพัฒนาผลิตภัณฑ์และบริการทางการเงิน เพื่อตอบโจทย์ความต้องการของลูกค้า ทั้งการออมและการลงทุนแบบครบวงจร ล่าสุด ได้พัฒนาผลิตภัณฑ์การลงทุน เพื่อตอบสนองความต้องการของนักลงทุนที่สนใจลงทุนหุ้นต่างประเทศ โดยเสนอขายตราสารแสดงสิทธิการฝากหลักทรัพย์ต่างประเทศ(DR) อ้างอิงหุ้นบริษัท เทนเซ็นต์ โฮลดิ้ง ลิมิเต็ด จำกัด (Tencent Holdings Limited) หรือ Tencent DR ซึ่งจดทะเบียนในตลาดหลักทรัพย์ฮ่องกง (HKEX) และเปิดให้นักลงทุนทั่วไปจองซื้อ (IPO) เมื่อวันที่ 18-21 เมษายน 2565 ที่ผ่านมา ราคาเสนอขายหน่วยละ 14.62 บาท
ขณะนี้ ธนาคารได้นำ Tencent DR เข้าจดทะเบียนในตลาดหลักทรัพย์แห่งประเทศไทยแล้ว นักลงทุนที่สนใจ สามารถซื้อขาย Tencent DR ซึ่งใช้ชื่อย่อ “TENCENT80” ในการซื้อขายหลักทรัพย์ ตั้งแต่วันที่ 26 เมษายน 2565 เป็นต้นไป โดยนักลงทุนสามารถลงทุนผ่านบัญชีซื้อขายหลักทรัพย์ที่มีอยู่ได้ทันทีผ่านบริษัทหลักทรัพย์ทุกแห่ง ลงทุนขั้นต่ำในตลาดรองเริ่มต้นเพียง 1 DR สามารถซื้อขาย DR ได้ต่อเนื่องตลอดวัน ไม่มีหยุดพักกลางวัน ทั้งนี้ การซื้อขาย DR เป็นสกุลเงินบาท ตัดปัญหาเรื่องการแลกเปลี่ยนสกุลเงินตราต่างประเทศ ทำให้การลงทุนในหลักทรัพย์ต่างประเทศไม่ใช่เรื่องไกลตัวอีกต่อไป

สำหรับแนวโน้มการเติบโตในอนาคต Tencent ยังมีการลงทุนและพัฒนาธุรกิจอื่นๆ อย่างต่อเนื่อง เช่น ธุรกิจ cloud platform และมีพอร์ตลงทุนในธุรกิจเทคโนโลยีชั้นนำ เช่น Meituan, Sea, JD, Pinduoduo ส่งผลให้ Tencent ได้รับความนิยมจากนักลงทุนทั่วโลก โดย Tencent มีปริมาณการซื้อขายหุ้น (Turnover) สูงสุดในตลาดหลักทรัพย์ฮ่องกง (ข้อมูล ณ วันที่ 22 เมษายน 2565) ซึ่งเชื่อว่าจะเป็นอีกหนึ่งทางเลือกที่ตอบโจทย์นักลงทุนไทยที่ต้องการกระจายการลงทุนในหุ้นเทคโนโลยีได้เป็นอย่างดี
Krungthai ready to trade “TENCENT80” representing Chinese tech giant Tencent, starting 26 April
“TENCENT80” DR issued by Krungthai Bank is set to start trading on 26 April. As the minimum investment is only 1 DR and it is traded in local currency, the DR eliminates currency risk and provides Thai investors with greater accessibility to global tech stocks.
Rawin Boonyanusasna, Senior Executive Vice President, Head of Global Markets Group at Krungthai Bank, said that as a top bank in Thailand, Krungthai has always been highly committed to developing its financial product and service lineup to cover all diverse needs of customers, including the needs relating to savings and investment. Its latest product to satisfy Thai investors’ appetite for global equities is the Tencent DR, a depositary receipt representing the stock of Tencent Holdings Limited which is listed in Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX). The DR was sold on initial public offering (IPO) between 18 to 21 April 2022 at 14.62 baht/DR.
Tencent DR has been listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand as “TENCENT80” and investors can start trading the DR from 26 April 2022 onwards through any security company using their local trading accounts. The minimum investment in the secondary market is as low as 1 DR and trading can be done throughout the trading hours with no lunch breaks. Moreover, the DR is traded in Thai baht, eliminating the need to exchange money, thus making investing in global equities more accessible.
Tencent DR is an option for investors who are interested in making investment in global tech companies. Tencent, the largest company in China by market cap, has its main business in communications. It owns China’s largest social media platform, WeChat, and provides fintech services, such as WeChat Pay, and various big-name games like RoV, Clash of Clans and PUBG. In addition, as Tencent reports environmental, social and governance (ESG) impacts and satisfies ESG criteria, Tencent DR offering is in alignment with Krungthai’s mission to take into account all stakeholders while operating its business sustainably. It also invests in top tech businesses such as Meituan, Sea, JD, Pinduoduo, among others, making Tencent a popular choice among investors worldwide; its turnover is the highest in HKEX (as at 22 April, 2022). Therefore, it is believed that Tencent would be an attractive option for Thai investors who want to diversify their investment portfolio and invest in tech stocks.
