ธนาคารกสิกรไทย ตอกย้ำความมุ่งมั่นในการลดก๊าซเรือนกระจก ร่วมกับ อินโนพาวเวอร์ ผู้บุกเบิกนวัตกรรมด้านพลังงาน เปิดตัวแพลตฟอร์มสนับสนุนการขึ้นทะเบียนและขายใบรับรองการผลิตพลังงานหมุนเวียน (Renewable Energy Certificate: REC) สำหรับองค์กรและประชาชนรายย่อยครั้งแรกในประเทศไทย เตรียมเปิดแพลตฟอร์มให้บริการในไตรมาส 2 ปี 67 ช่วยให้ลูกค้ารายย่อยที่ติดตั้งโซลาร์รูฟท็อปสามารถขอและขายใบรับรอง REC ได้ง่ายขึ้น ถือเป็นการสร้างรายได้เพิ่มให้กับผู้ผลิตไฟฟ้ารายย่อย และส่งเสริมให้เกิดการผลิตและการใช้ไฟฟ้าจากพลังงานหมุนเวียนอย่างยั่งยืนในประเทศ
ดร. กรินทร์ บุญเลิศวณิชย์ รองกรรมการผู้จัดการ ธนาคารกสิกรไทย เปิดเผยว่า ธนาคารมุ่งมั่นสนับสนุนภาคธุรกิจและภาคประชาชนในการใช้พลังงานสะอาดอย่างต่อเนื่อง ที่ผ่านมาได้ออกผลิตภัณฑ์และบริการเพื่อสนับสนุนหลากหลายรูปแบบภายใต้แนวคิด Go Green Together โดยความร่วมมือกับ บริษัท อินโนพาวเวอร์ จำกัด ในครั้งนี้ จะเป็นการสนับสนุนและผลักดันให้เกิดระบบนิเวศน์สีเขียวที่ยั่งยืน (Green Ecosystem) ผ่านการผลิตและการใช้พลังงานสะอาดในภาคประชาชน ถือเป็นครั้งแรกที่ประชาชนที่ติดตั้งโซลาร์รูฟท็อปจะมีช่องทางการให้บริการที่ง่ายและสะดวกในการขึ้นทะเบียน REC และทำการขายใบรับรองการผลิตพลังงานหมุนเวียนผ่านบริษัท อินโนพาวเวอร์ จำกัด จากที่ผ่านมาจะเป็นการขึ้นทะเบียนให้กับกลุ่มธุรกิจขนาดใหญ่เท่านั้น ซึ่งนอกจากจะช่วยประหยัดค่าไฟแล้ว ยังได้ประโยชน์จากการขายใบรับรองการผลิตพลังงานหมุนเวียนอีกด้วย โดยคาดว่าโครงการดังกล่าวจะช่วยจุดกระแสให้ประชาชนทั่วไปหันมาผลิตและใช้พลังงานสะอาดผ่านการติดตั้งโซลาร์รูฟท็อปเพิ่มมากขึ้น เพื่อสนับสนุนการขับเคลื่อนประเทศไทยบรรลุเป้าหมายการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกสุทธิเป็นศูนย์ (Net Zero Emission) ให้สำเร็จ
ทั้งนี้ ธนาคารได้ใช้ความเชี่ยวชาญด้านดิจิทัลในการพัฒนาบริการต่างๆ ให้กับโครงการฯ ซึ่งอยู่ระหว่างการพัฒนาใน 3 ด้าน ได้แก่ 1) ให้บริการยืนยันตัวตนและนำส่งข้อมูลประกอบการขึ้นทะเบียน REC 2) ออกแบบ UX/UI และพัฒนาระบบเทคโนโลยีสาระสนเทศ เพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกให้ผู้ติดตั้งโซลาร์รูฟสมัครใช้บริการขึ้นทะเบียน REC 3) ให้บริการ Cash Management ซึ่งเป็นการพัฒนาโซลูชันทางการเงินที่เชื่อมต่อระหว่างธนาคาร อินโนพาวเวอร์ และลูกค้าที่ขาย REC ให้มีรูปแบบการชำระเงินที่เหมาะสม ปลอดภัย ตอบโจทย์ไลฟ์สไตล์ผู้ใช้รายย่อย และสร้างประสบการณ์ที่ดีในการรับ-จ่ายเงิน
นายอธิป ตันติวรวงศ์ ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร บริษัท อินโนพาวเวอร์ จำกัด กล่าวเพิ่มเติมว่า อินโนพาวเวอร์ เป็นผู้ให้บริการจัดหาและซื้อขายใบรับรองการผลิตพลังงานหมุนเวียน (Renewable Energy Certificate : REC) ครบวงจรอันดับหนึ่งของประเทศไทย ซึ่งที่ผ่านมาบริษัทได้ให้บริการกับองค์กรขนาดใหญ่ โดยครั้งนี้ถือเป็นครั้งแรกที่บริษัทได้ร่วมมือกับธนาคารกสิกรไทยเข้าไปช่วยรวบรวมกำลังการผลิตไฟฟ้าระดับรายบุคคลและองค์กรรายย่อยที่ติดตั้งโซลาร์รูฟท็อปในภาคครัวเรือน ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่จะมีขนาดกำลังการผลิตไม่ถึง 500 กิโลวัตต์ โดยผู้ผลิตเหล่านี้มีเป็นจำนวนมาก อีกทั้งตลาดโซลาร์รูฟท็อปมีอัตราการเติบโตสูงถึงปีละ 26% บริษัทจึงได้ร่วมมือกับธนาคารพัฒนา REC Aggregator Platform ผ่านการรวบรวมและจัดเตรียมข้อมูลการขึ้นทะเบียน REC เพื่อช่วยผู้ผลิตไฟฟ้ารายย่อยสามารถยื่นขอใบรับรอง REC ได้สะดวกขึ้น และอำนวยความสะดวกในการนำ REC ที่ออกและได้รับการรับรองไปจำหน่ายแก่ผู้รับซื้อ โดยนอกจากจะช่วยให้ผู้ผลิตรายย่อยสามารถขาย REC เป็นรายได้อีกช่องทางหนึ่งแล้ว แพลตฟอร์มนี้ยังช่วยกระตุ้นให้การติดตั้งโซลาร์รูฟท็อปในตลาดเติบโตยิ่งขึ้น และยังช่วยให้องค์กรและประเทศบรรลุเป้าหมายความเป็นกลางทางคาร์บอน (Carbon Neutrality) และเป้าหมายการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกสุทธิเป็นศูนย์ (Net Zero Emission) อย่างเป็นรูปธรรม
ใบรับรองการผลิตพลังงานหมุนเวียน (Renewable Energy Certificate: REC) คือใบรับรองสำหรับการผลิตไฟฟ้าพลังงานสะอาดที่สามารถซื้อขายได้ เพื่อยืนยันที่แหล่งผลิตว่ามาจากพลังงานธรรมชาติ เช่น พลังงานแสงอาทิตย์, น้ำ และลม เป็นต้น การซื้อขายใบรับรองมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อส่งเสริมการผลิตและการใช้พลังงานหมุนเวียนมากขึ้น โดย REC สามารถนำไปใช้ในการชดเชยการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกขององค์กรได้ในกิจกรรมที่เกิดจากการใช้ไฟฟ้า (Scope 2: Indirect Emission)
KBank and INNOPOWER to launch a platform for Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) registration and sale to generate additional income for organizations and individuals – the first of its kind in Thailand
Reinforcing its commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, KASIKORNBANK (KBank) has partnered with INNOPOWER Co., Ltd. (INNOPOWER) – a pioneer in energy innovations, in unveiling a platform to support registration and sale of renewable energy certificate (REC) for both organizations and the general public. This groundbreaking platform, a first for Thailand, is scheduled for launch in the second quarter of 2024. It will not only make it easier for retail customers with solar panels to register and sell REC but also allow them to earn additional income as small-scale power producers. This initiative aims to promote the sustainable generation and use of renewable energy in Thailand.

In pursuit of this goal, we have launched a wide range of products and services under the ‘Go Green Together’ concept. For the first time, individuals installing solar rooftops will have a convenient and easy channel for registering and selling Renewable Energy Certificate [REC] through INNOPOWER. Previously, the registration was limited to only large businesses. Aside from helping save on electricity costs, these individuals can also benefit from selling REC. This project should encourage more people to generate and use clean energy through increased installations of solar rooftops. The initiative aims to support Thailand in achieving its Net Zero emissions target”.
The Bank has leveraged its digital expertise for the development of three services under ongoing projects. These services are: 1) Identity verification and submission of required information for REC registration; 2) UX/UI design and IT system development to offer solar rooftop installers greater convenience in using the REC registration service; and 3) Cash management, which involves the development of financial solutions to link the Bank, INNOPOWER and customers who sell REC. Such financial solutions will have an appropriate and secure payment format to meet the lifestyle needs of small users and create the most satisfying payment service experience.

Our collaboration with KBank focuses on aggregating electricity generation capacity for individuals and small-scale organizations in the residential sector with solar rooftops, typically under 500 kilowatts. Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) are tradable certificates that represent proof of the production of electricity generated from renewable energy resources such as solar, water and wind. The purpose of trading REC is to promote the production and use of renewable energy. REC can be used to offset an organization’s greenhouse gas emissions from electricity consumption (Scope 2: Indirect Emission).
