ธนาคารกสิกรไทยเดินหน้ายุทธศาสตร์ด้านสินทรัพย์ดิจิทัล เปิดตัว ออร์บิกซ์ คัสโทเดียน (orbix CUSTODIAN) เตรียมตัวเป็นผู้ให้บริการรับฝากสินทรัพย์ดิจิทัลรายแรกในประเทศไทย รองรับกลุ่มลูกค้าที่เป็นผู้ประกอบการธุรกิจสินทรัพย์ดิจิทัลภายในประเทศ โดย ออร์บิกซ์ คัสโทเดียน ได้รับใบอนุญาตประกอบธุรกิจผู้ให้บริการรับฝากสินทรัพย์ดิจิทัลจากกระทรวงการคลังภายใต้การกำกับดูแลของคณะกรรมการกำกับหลักทรัพย์และตลาดหลักทรัพย์ (ก.ล.ต.)และอยู่ระหว่างเตรียมความพร้อมของระบบงานก่อนเริ่มประกอบธุรกิจซึ่งถือเป็นการส่งเสริมและพัฒนาการที่สำคัญของอุตสาหกรรมสินทรัพย์ดิจิทัลในประเทศไทยโดยยึดมั่นในการให้บริการอย่างโปร่งใส ปลอดภัย และน่าเชื่อเถือ สอดคล้องตามเกณฑ์จากหน่วยงานกำกับดูแลภายในประเทศ เพื่อให้ผู้ลงทุนมั่นใจได้ว่า การเก็บรักษาสินทรัพย์ดิจิทัลของผู้ประกอบธุรกิจสินทรัพย์ดิจิทัลเป็นไปอย่างมีมาตรฐาน อันจะสร้างความคุ้มครองและความเชื่อมั่นแก่นักลงทุน ตอกย้ำความเป็นผู้นำนวัตกรรมทางการเงินที่มีความน่าเชื่อถือ เติมเต็มระบบนิเวศด้านสินทรัพย์ดิจิทัลของกลุ่มธุรกิจทางการเงินของธนาคาร
นายพิพิธ เอนกนิธิ ผู้จัดการใหญ่ ธนาคารกสิกรไทย เปิดเผยว่า ธนาคารกสิกรไทย มุ่งสร้างรากฐานระบบนิเวศด้านสินทรัพย์ดิจิทัลที่แข็งแกร่งผ่านโครงสร้างการบริหารจัดการ โดยดำเนินการภายใต้ บริษัท ยูนิต้า แคปิทัล จำกัด (Unita Capital) ซึ่งเป็นบริษัทลูกในกลุ่มธุรกิจทางการเงินธนาคารกสิกรไทยที่มีเป้าหมายในการดูแลบริการให้ครอบคลุมระบบนิเวศด้านสินทรัพย์ดิจิทัล (Digital Asset Ecosystem) มากขึ้น ล่าสุดเปิดตัว ออร์บิกซ์ คัสโทเดียน จำกัด (orbix CUSTODIAN) เตรียมตัวเป็นผู้ให้บริการรับฝากสินทรัพย์ดิจิทัลรายแรกในประเทศไทย ยกระดับมาตรฐานการเก็บรักษาสินทรัพย์ดิจิทัล นับเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการเสริมสร้างความเชื่อมั่นและความปลอดภัยให้แก่ผู้ประกอบธุรกิจสินทรัพย์ดิจิทัลและผู้ลงทุน โดยก่อนหน้านี้ กลุ่มธุรกิจทางการเงินของธนาคาร ภายใต้ Unita Capital ที่มีการเปิดให้บริการแล้ว ได้แก่

· ออร์บิกซ์ อินเวสท์ (orbix INVEST) ผู้จัดการเงินทุนสินทรัพย์ดิจิทัล (Digital Asset Fund Manager) ประกอบธุรกิจรับจัดการเงินลงทุนสินทรัพย์ดิจิทัล เปิดให้บริการเป็นการทั่วไปเมื่อกรกฎาคมที่ผ่านมา
· ออร์บิกซ์ เทคโนโลยี (orbix TECHNOLOGY) ผู้ให้บริการโครงสร้างพื้นฐานเทคโนโลยีบล็อคเชนของประเทศ (Blockchain Infrastructure) เพื่อสนับสนุนต่อยอดบริการทางการเงินต่างๆ ในอนาคต
สำหรับ ออร์บิกซ์ คัสโทเดียน (orbix CUSTODIAN) ได้รับใบอนุญาตประกอบธุรกิจรับฝากสินทรัพย์ดิจิทัลจากกระทรวงการคลัง ภายใต้การกำกับดูแลของ ก.ล.ต. เมื่อวันที่ 13 กันยายน 2567 ที่ผ่านมา และอยู่ระหว่างเตรียมความพร้อมของระบบงานก่อนขอเริ่มประกอบธุรกิจ ถือเป็นอีกหนึ่งจิ๊กซอว์ที่สำคัญในการขยายขอบเขตบริการเพื่อเติมเต็มระบบนิเวศด้านสินทรัพย์ดิจิทัลของกลุ่มธุรกิจการเงินของธนาคาร โดย ออร์บิกซ์ คัสโทเดียน เข้ามาตอบโจทย์ความต้องการของผู้ประกอบธุรกิจสินทรัพย์ดิจิทัล ให้สามารถดูแลนักลงทุนได้ครบมิติมากยิ่งขึ้น และมีแผนเปิดให้บริการอย่างเป็นทางการภายในช่วงต้นปี 2568 พร้อมชูจุดเด่น ด้านความเชี่ยวชาญโครงสร้างพื้นฐาน เทคโนโลยี ขั้นตอน และมาตรฐานความมั่นคงปลอดภัยทางไซเบอร์ (Cyber Security) รวมถึงมีระบบการใช้งานที่สอดคล้องกับการใช้งานจริง มุ่งเน้นการออกแบบผลิตภัณฑ์และบริการที่ตอบสนองการใช้งานของผู้ประกอบธุรกิจสินทรัพย์ดิจิทัลภายในประเทศได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพด้วยบริการเก็บรักษาสินทรัพย์ดิจิทัลตามมาตรฐานการกำกับดูแลของ ก.ล.ต.

This new service is designed to cater to domestic digital asset businesses. orbix CUSTODIAN has obtained its license from the Ministry of Finance and operates under the supervision of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The company is now finalizing its systems before launching operations. This development is a milestone for Thailand’s digital asset industry, emphasizing the Bank’s commitment to providing transparent, secure, and reliable services in compliance with regulatory requirements. By offering a standardized approach to digital asset custody, orbix CUSTODIAN aims to protect investors and foster trust in the market. This move further solidifies KASIKORNBANK FINANCIAL CONGLOMERATE’s leadership in trustworthy financial innovation, enhancing its digital asset ecosystem.

- orbix INVEST, a digital asset fund manager engaging in digital asset investment management. It began operations in July 2024.
- orbix TECHNOLOGY, a blockchain infrastructure service provider tasked with advancing various financial services for future growth.

orbix CUSTODIAN obtained a Digital Asset Custodian license from the Ministry of Finance under the supervision of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on September 13, 2024. The company is currently in the process of system preparation before commencing its business operations. This marks a milestone in expanding the scope of services to enhance the digital asset ecosystem within KASIKORNBANK FINANCIAL CONGLOMERATE. orbix CUSTODIAN addresses the needs of digital asset business operators, allowing them to provide more comprehensive investor care. The company plans to officially launch its services in early 2025, highlighting its expertise in infrastructure, technology, processes, and cybersecurity standards, including efficient systems for practical usage. The focus is on developing products and services that effectively cater to the needs of domestic digital asset businesses, through digital asset custody services that comply with SEC regulations.
